Billericay Removals & Storage wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use assistive technology, keyboard navigation, screen magnification or alternative input methods.

Our accessibility approach

We aim to make the website clear, consistent and usable, and to work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We regularly review the site as content and third-party services change.

Work completed includes:

  • A consistent heading structure and a single main heading on key pages.
  • Descriptive alternative text for informative images.
  • Visible keyboard focus styles and usable button sizes.
  • Improved colour contrast across the navigation, page sections and calls to action.
  • Responsive layouts that adapt to mobile and desktop screens.
  • English captions for the homepage introduction video.
  • Clear labels for telephone, quote and form controls.
  • Support for reduced-motion preferences.

Current accessibility status

The website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. This means most of the website meets the target, but some third-party content may not yet meet every success criterion.

Known limitations

  • The Google reviews widget is supplied by a third party. We improve contrast and control sizes where the widget allows, but some internal markup and behaviour remain outside our direct control.
  • Third-party video, map or social content may have controls that differ from the rest of the website.
  • Very old content may need further editorial improvement as it is reviewed and updated.

We do not use an accessibility overlay as a substitute for fixing the website itself. We prioritise changes to the underlying content, design and code.

How we review accessibility

We combine automated checks with manual keyboard, mobile and visual review. Accessibility will be checked again after significant design, plugin or content changes and at regular intervals.
